P’s parents have been in town & last night we took his Dad out to Loving Hut! His Dad, who is a meat-eater, says he always enjoys going places with me because I introduce him to “interesting new things.” I’m thrilled that I have been able to open his eyes & taste buds to the pleasures of veg dining!
This was only my second visit to the Loving Hut, & have definitely enjoyed it both times. While it’s not the “healthiest” of restaurants, as most of the dishes seem heavily processed & loaded with sodium, it is awesome to have a place to go when I want something quick, easy, cheap & totally vegan! It’s also a great place to take non-vegans, as there are variety of items on the menu will appeal to people of all dietary persuasions.
We shared the “Fresh Summer Rolls,” I had the yummy “Jackfruit Salad,” P’s Dad had the “Fabulous Mongolian,” P had the “Vegan Burger,” & we split a piece of “Vegan Cheesecake” 3 ways. All were quite tasty.
While I enjoyed my salad & my first taste of jackfruit, I did leave there feeling a bit heavy & bloated…hence Anna’s nickname for the place - “Unloving Gut.” But, I’ll be back again, that is for sure!
